At our luncheon celebrating Women’s History Month, the featured keynote speaker was Shelly Beiting, the Executive Director of the Columbus Women's Commission. Shelly touched on what it means to be a visionary woman and the importance of civic engagement. Battelle has signed The Columbus Commitment; a pledge to help the region alleviate gender-based inequities. Our CEO, Lou Von Thaer, reaffirmed Battelle's dedication to The Columbus Commitment and thanked each nominee for their excellent work.
“I’m proud to work for an organization that is committed to advancing opportunities for equality, and it’s a joy getting to work alongside so many inspiring women every day,” said Mary Sheehan, Principal Research Scientist and a co-chair of Battelle’s Women’s History Month activities. “This year’s honorees are great examples of individuals who make an impact, who have learned how to turn a vision into reality and who are role models for us all.”
