Did you know Battelle does work for government and commercial clients?
If you think of Battelle as strictly a government contractor, you’re not alone. While our government work is incredibly important to our nation, we also do a lot of exciting work for commercial companies! If you’re interested in helping our commercial partners bring new innovations to market, the opportunities are nearly endless as our commercial work continues to grow.
Through our government and commercial clients, we work across dozens of industries, including medical technology, crop protection, carbon capture and storage (CCS), transportation, advanced materials and more. On the government side, we manage nine national laboratories for the U.S. Department of Energy and Department of Homeland Security, in addition to extensive contract work for government agencies ranging from Health and Human Services to the Department of Defense.
Did you know Battelle invests in employee’s innovative ideas?
When our employees have ideas, we want to hear them. We reinvest profits into independent research and development (IR&D) projects, many of which are driven from the bottom up by our Solvers, which is what we like to call our employees who demonstrate innovation and creativity every day.
Thanks to this commitment to our employees and discovery, Battelle operates at the leading edge of science and technology innovation across a variety of disciplines. We are continually working to solve critical problems for society and advance technologies that will benefit our clients and the world at large. In fact, it’s right there in our mission statement: “[We] translate scientific discovery and technology advances into societal benefits….” We believe great ideas can come from anywhere. We invest in our people’s innovation through our IR&D program, as well as an annual competition held by our emerging scientists’ group that gives employees an opportunity to develop their own big ideas and pitch them to the rest of Battelle.
Did you know not-for-profit really means we reinvest our profits for the greater good?
Not-for-profit doesn’t mean no profits. It means that the profits we earn are reinvested back into our mission, IR&D projects, and educational and charitable work focused on inspiring the next generation of innovators. We pay competitive wages and offer excellent benefits for our employees. We recognize that our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we invest in attracting and retaining top talent across all of our business areas. If you are looking for a place where you will be valued, all while making an impact on the world, Battelle is the answer.
Did you know we hire people with a variety of diverse backgrounds and experience?
