Nominate a Heart Failure Nurse Maven

We have all been treated by or personally know nurses who dedicate their lives to providing exceptional patient care. Now’s your chance to recognize these outstanding individuals.

The Battelle Healthcare Colloquium Heart Failure Nurse Maven Award is given annually and celebrates the accomplishments and contributions of nurses to the advancement of heart failure patient care.

“It's a given that an exceptional heart failure nurse has a passion for treating heart failure patients,” said Frances Greaves, Regional Heart Failure Coordinator at CHI Franciscan Health and a member of the award selection panel.

"A Heart Failure Nurse Maven, however, is also driven to improve the lives of heart failure patients and their families through evidenced-based care, education and empowerment. They develop partnerships to ensure a collaborative approach is provided across the continuum of patient care,” said Frances. “A Heart Failure Nurse Maven never forgets that heart failure is chronic and personal, and the challenges facing their patients are not always easy to overcome."

Nominations were accepted through July 2016. The winner was announced in August. You do not have to be a Colloquium member to nominate or be nominated. An award ceremony took place in Columbus, Ohio in September.
